The Place Where You Live

'The Place Where You Live' is the second album recorded by the Towoomba City Church Band. It follows 'Rearranged', their live recording and marks their first studio record.

All but one of the songs on this record are original and reflect the DNA of the congregation at Toowoomba City Church (TCC). The main theme of the album is God's house, the place where He lives which is among His people, the Church. The songs speak to the glorious identity of the Church as God's instrument to reach this world. The title track, 'How Beautiful', and 'The City Shines' are the main flag bearers of this theme.

Musical director and songwriter at TCC, Evan Shelton commented, "Over two years ago God took me on a journey through the Bible and spoke to me strongly about His house, the Church. It was an amazing revelation to me to discover that God has a specific plan for what His house must become, namely a unified people. Psalm 48:12-14 was the scripture that became the catalyst for this project."
'The Place Where You Live' also features songs of lament for the children of this generation (Song for the Children) and an anthem for the aborted generation (The Silent Cry).

Recorded at the Grove Studios and mixed at Roomuzik by Craig Ross, musically 'The Place Where You Live' reflects the influence of ColdPlay, Delirious, David Crowder and Chris Tomlin.
